Application of Eucommia spp. leaf extract in aquaculture
According to the notice of the Ministry of Agriculture and Rural Development's "2022 National Origin Aquatic Products Veterinary Drug Residue Monitoring Program", the prohibited drugs and other compounds, discontinued veterinary drugs, and veterinary drugs and pesticides with clearly defined rest periods are tested for in origin aquatic products.
The ban on veterinary drugs and antibiotics in aquaculture has created a huge market opportunity for Eucommia feed. The abundant resources and easy availability of raw materials in China provide an important material basis for the vigorous development of antibiotic-free feed additives.
Introduction
Eucommia globulus is a traditional Chinese medicinal herb with abundant resources. Its extracts contain chlorogenic acid, eucommia flavonoids and eucommia polysaccharides, which have both nutritional and pharmaceutical functions, and chlorogenic acid has broad-spectrum antibacterial and antiviral effects, which can both prevent and treat diseases and improve the production performance of aquatic animals.
